The first chapter of ΓΡΚ started at Asbury Theological Seminary in 2013 which was sponsored by GlossaHouse. Throughout the Fall of 2013, many Greek gurus led by Dr. Fredrick Long (Professor of NT at ATS) and J. Klay Harrison (then International Coordinator) gathered and met in order to form this society and at the beginning of the Spring 2014 semester launched this ATS chapter.

As stated in our constitution, the purpose of Gamma Rho Kappa is “to recognize outstanding attainments in the study of the Ancient Greek language and literature, to stimulate study and research in this field, to promote an understanding and appreciation of the Ancient Greek cultures, and to advocate the reading of the Greek New Testament, other early Christian literature, and broader Ancient Greek writings.”
